Delhi ,India, January 2026 — Mohit Jhawar has joined Bharti Enterprises as Executive Vice President & Group Head – Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development. In this group-level role, he is responsible for leading mergers and acquisitions, investments, and business development initiatives across Bharti Enterprises’ diverse portfolio.
In his new position, Mohit Jhawar is focused on shaping inorganic growth, capital deployment, and new business initiatives across telecom, digital infrastructure, satellite services, real estate, and consumer platforms, both in India and internationally. His mandate includes evaluating strategic opportunities, driving value-accretive transactions, and supporting long-term growth priorities for the group.
Prior to joining Bharti Enterprises, Mohit Jhawar spent nearly five years with Flipkart Group as Senior Director – Corporate Development, where he led corporate development and M&A activities across Flipkart, Myntra, eKart, Flipkart Health+, Cleartrip, and other group platforms. During this period, he was closely involved in deal sourcing, transaction execution, strategic partnerships, and investment decisions, contributing to Flipkart’s expansion across e-commerce, logistics, fashion, travel, and health-tech.
Alongside his corporate development role, he served as Board Observer for several portfolio companies, including Shadowfax, Ninjacart, Flipkart Health+, Universal Sportsbiz (WROGN), Wildcraft, and Flying Machine, supporting governance, strategy, and portfolio management initiatives.
Earlier in his career, Mohit Jhawar spent over nine years with Morgan Stanley as Vice President, Private Equity – Asia, where he focused on growth and control private equity investments across sectors in India. He represented the firm as a director or observer on the boards of companies such as Nspira, ZCL Chemicals, and Sahajanand Medical Technologies, and played a key role in transaction structuring, portfolio strategy, and exits. His professional journey also includes roles with Sabre Capital, MAPE Advisory Group, and early experience in technology roles with Qwest Software Services and Aditi Technologies, giving him a unique blend of financial, strategic, and operational expertise.
