Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2026 – Mohit Rane has been promoted as Head of Marketing and Communication at TotalEnergies India. In this strategic leadership role, he will steer brand positioning, integrated communication strategy, and market outreach while strengthening the company’s engagement with stakeholders in India’s rapidly evolving energy landscape.
Prior to this promotion, Mohit Rane held multiple impactful roles at TotalEnergies, including Head of Clean Cooking Project and a key position in Strategy and Business Development. During this period, he contributed to advancing sustainable energy initiatives, expanding clean cooking solutions, and shaping growth strategies aligned with the organization’s global energy transition vision.
Before joining TotalEnergies, he spent over a decade at Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) in progressively senior roles. As Senior Manager HQ – Strategy and Business Development in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, he played a pivotal role in corporate strategy formulation and new business opportunities. Earlier, as Sales and Marketing Manager, he strengthened market development initiatives and customer engagement across key territories.
His early career at BPCL included assignments as Assistant Manager (Engineering) in Surat, Gujarat, India and Executive (Operations) in Pune, Maharashtra, India, where he gained strong operational and technical exposure to India’s energy sector. He began his professional journey as Project Trainee with Larsen & Toubro Limited, building a solid foundation in project execution and engineering management.
