Boston, Massachusetts, United States, September 2025 — Oliver Wyman has announced the appointment of Molly Cooney as Head of Talent Strategy & Human Capital Effectiveness. In this elevated role, she will lead strategic initiatives around workforce effectiveness, talent development, organizational culture, and employee engagement, helping the firm strengthen its people agenda while driving performance and growth.
Cooney has been with Oliver Wyman for over four years, most recently serving as Senior Manager, Talent Strategy & Human Capital Effectiveness, where she spearheaded programs enhancing organizational capabilities and people effectiveness. Earlier, as Manager, Human Capital Effectiveness & Talent Strategy, she worked on initiatives focused on aligning HR strategy with business priorities and scaling best practices across the firm.
Before joining Oliver Wyman, she built a strong foundation at State Street, where she spent five years in multiple HR leadership roles. As Assistant Vice President, HR Strategy & Transformation and Assistant Vice President, Employee Engagement and HR Communications, she managed workforce planning, employee engagement, and change management initiatives. She also played a pivotal role in launching State Street’s internal talent marketplace and led communication strategies across the HR lifecycle.
Her early career at State Street included roles such as Officer, Employee Engagement and HR Communications and part of the Professional Development Program – Global HR and Corporate Citizenship, where she contributed to global policy rollouts, corporate responsibility reporting, and compensation strategy alignment.
