Phoenix, Arizona, June 2024 – Monica Vandever has taken on the role of Director of Learning and Development at American Express, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic learning and development to enhance the capabilities of the company’s workforce.
Monica has been a part of American Express for nearly 10 years, where she has held various leadership positions. Most recently, she served as the Senior Manager of Marketing Capabilities Strategy for 3 years and 2 months. In this role, she was responsible for leading and managing the Prospect Marketing Sales Capabilities Program, driving innovations in sales enablement, and supporting new growth initiatives.
Before that, Monica was the Manager of Salesforce Training & User Engagement for 2 years and 9 months. She played a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the global Salesforce user journey and adoption for over 4500 Global Commercial Services (GCS) field colleagues through robust engagement strategies and creative training methods.
Monica also served as the Interim Director of the Global Field Tools Center of Excellence for 8 months, where she led the strategic vision for the Global Field Tools Strategy, enabling her team to drive best-in-class tools and capabilities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Earlier in her career at American Express, she was a Senior Analyst in Salesforce Training Strategy and a Corporate Account Development Consultant, where she focused on improving Salesforce adoption and enhancing the end-to-end user journey.
Before joining American Express, Monica held various roles at Anthem Education Group, including Associate Director of Education, Team Leader/Faculty Manager, and Admissions Representative. She also worked at the University of Phoenix as a Senior Enrollment Advisor for over 5 years.
