Minneapolis, Minnesota, United States, March 2025 – Hennepin Healthcare has welcomed Myron McCoo as its new Vice President, People and Culture. In this role, McCoo will lead the organization’s human resources strategy, overseeing talent management, employee engagement, diversity and inclusion, and organizational culture initiatives.
McCoo joins Hennepin Healthcare after serving as Chief Human Resources Officer (R&DE) at Stanford University for over a year, where he was responsible for driving HR strategy and operations to support the university’s residential and dining enterprises.
Prior to that, he was the Vice President of Human Resources at Memorial Health System, where he played a crucial role in shaping HR policies and implementing workforce initiatives for over four years.
He also held the role of Vice President of Human Resources and Chief Diversity Officer at The College of St. Scholastica, where he led HR strategy while spearheading diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) efforts. Earlier in his career, he served as Associate Vice President of Human Resources at UC Health, overseeing HR operations and talent programs.
McCoo also held key HR leadership roles at Yale New Haven Health, Dartmouth College, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and UW Health, where he managed various HR functions, including labor relations, workforce planning, and employee engagement.
McCoo holds a Doctor of Law (JD) in Labor and Employment Law from Indiana University Bloomington and a Master’s degree in Religion and Organizational Development from Harvard University.
