As the Chairperson, Rostow played a key role in strengthening the Foundation’s governance and strategic direction. Under his stewardship, Nasscom Foundation expanded its work across digital inclusion, skilling and employability, women entrepreneurship, social innovation and strengthening the NGO ecosystem, advancing its mission of driving inclusive growth through technology.

U.B. Pravin Rao, Chairperson Designate, Nasscom Foundation, said,“While technology is often viewed through the lens of growth, its true potential lies in expanding access and opportunity. That is what makes Nasscom Foundation’s mission particularly important. I am honored to take on this role as we celebrate 25 years of the Foundation’s journey. I look forward to working with the team and other stakeholders to build on this strong legacy and drive the next wave of technology led innovation and impact”.

A distinguished leader in the technology industry, U.B. Pravin Rao brings over 35 years of experience across global operations, large-scale transformation and execution excellence. His prior association with Nasscom, including his earlier roles as Vice Chairperson and Chairman, brings both continuity and a deep understanding of the ecosystem to the role. As Chairperson, he will help guide the Foundation’s strategic priorities contributing to the government’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.

Nasscom Foundation continues to work at the intersection of technology and social impact, guided by its TechForGood philosophy.  The focus areas are digital inclusion, employability, women entrepreneurship, and strengthening the NGO ecosystem through technology. The Foundation works closely with corporates, NGOs, government, and ecosystem partners to design scalable and outcome-oriented interventions that address pressing social and economic challenges.

Rostow Ravanan, Former Chairperson, Nasscom Foundation, said: ““It has been a profound honor to serve as Chairperson of Nasscom Foundation.  As I retire from this role I do so with deep satisfaction in having helped strengthen the Foundation’s leadership and building a capable, resilient, values‑driven team for the future. The Foundation is now led by a new generation of leaders who bring fresh energy, insight, and commitment to its mission. I am confident that the Foundation will continue to transform the landscape of social impact in India by making digital literacy and future ready skill building accessible to all. I am grateful for all the goodwill and support from my colleagues on the board and look forward to continuing to support the Foundation’s mission in new ways.”

Jyoti Sharma, CEO, Nasscom Foundation, said, “We extend our deepest gratitude to Rostow Ravanan for his exceptional leadership and steadfast commitment to Nasscom Foundation’s mission. Rostow has been a guiding force, leading the organisation with a rare combination of clarity, humility and purpose, shaping both our strategic direction and the values that define our work. On a personal note, as a mentor, his counsel and quiet stewardship have left a lasting imprint on all of us who have had the privilege of learning from him. As we welcome Pravin, we do so on a strong foundation built under Rostow’s leadership, with a renewed commitment to advancing our TechForGood mission at scale.”
