The National HRD Network is India’s premier association of professionals committed to promoting the HRD movement and enhancing the capabilities of human resource professionals to create value for organizations and society. Established in 1985, NHRDN was founded by pioneering HR leaders and academicians from institutions such as Larsen & Toubro, Bank of Baroda, TVS Group, Steel Authority of India, IIM Ahmedabad, and XLRI Jamshedpur. Signatories to the Memorandum of Association included Dr. T. V. Rao, Fr. E. Abraham, Dr. K. K. Verma, Dr. Anil Khandelwal, Dr. D. M. Pestonjee, Mr. G. K. Ghosh, Dr. Kakoli Saha, and Mr. J. K. Parikh, and the Network was registered as a Society and Trust on December 6, 1986 at Ahmedabad.
NHRDN operates through approximately 30 regional chapters across India, encompassing a strong community of over 9,800 members. Each chapter actively conducts events, training programs, and forums to advance HR knowledge and practice, while the National Executive Board coordinates efforts at the national level. The Network’s activities — encompassing education, training, research, and experience sharing — are managed by HR professionals in an honorary capacity, reflecting their deep commitment to giving back to the profession.
This newly appointed leadership team under Dr. Jayakumar’s guidance is poised to continue NHRDN’s legacy of empowering HR professionals and contributing to India’s journey toward a more inclusive and competitive workforce.
