Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, January 2026 – Neelam Thakur has been promoted to Vice President – Benefits & Wellness at Goldman Sachs, marking a significant milestone in her leadership journey in corporate wellness, employee experience, and healthcare-led workforce transformation.
In her current role at Goldman Sachs, Neelam Thakur has taken charge of shaping the firm’s India-wide wellness and benefits ecosystem, leading a comprehensive portfolio covering onsite health centres, childcare infrastructure, fitness facilities, and a rapidly expanding mental health framework. She has been instrumental in aligning local wellbeing programs with global priorities while embedding resilience, psychological safety, and digital mental health interventions into the employee experience. Her leadership includes spearheading Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider) programs, large-scale wellness capital projects, and overseeing a multi-million-dollar vendor ecosystem supporting operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
Prior to her promotion, Neelam served as Associate – India Wellness & Benefits Lead at Goldman Sachs, where she drove strategic program design, personalized employee outreach initiatives, leadership engagement models, and enterprise mental health frameworks across diverse employee segments, reinforcing Goldman Sachs’ wellbeing-first culture.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Neelam worked with Manipal Health Enterprises, where she led end-to-end corporate wellness service delivery for large enterprise clients, managing extensive clinical teams and high-value wellness portfolios, and orchestrating large-scale public health responses including national COVID-19 initiatives.
Earlier in her career, she held leadership and operations roles with Narayana Health and Fortis Healthcare, managing hospital operations, scaling healthcare infrastructure, driving service excellence, and leading large clinical and non-clinical teams across multi-city hospital ecosystems, laying a strong foundation in healthcare administration and organizational performance.
Neelam Thakur holds an MBA in Hospital Administration from Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya.
