Gurugram, Haryana, India, May 2026 — Netrapal Singh has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ummeed Housing Finance Pvt. Ltd., bringing over 27 years of experience across mortgages, retail lending, risk management, affordable housing finance, and business strategy.
In his new role, Netrapal will lead the company’s growth strategy in the affordable housing finance segment, with a focus on expanding geographic reach, strengthening risk frameworks, and driving innovative mortgage solutions for underserved and lower-income customer segments across India.
Before joining Ummeed Housing Finance, he worked as an independent strategic advisor, providing industry research, sector expertise, and advisory support across mortgage products and risk management.
Prior to that, Netrapal served as Executive Vice President – Strategy and Planning with the Chief Executive Office at Aditya Birla Capital. He also spent nearly eight years with Aditya Birla Housing Finance Limited, where he held leadership roles including Chief Business Officer and Chief Executive Officer, driving business growth, operational expansion, and mortgage portfolio development.
Earlier, he held senior roles with Aditya Birla Finance Limited, ICICI Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, IDBI Bank Ltd., and HDFC Ltd., building deep expertise across mortgage lending, retail assets, credit governance, regional expansion, and scalable lending models.
