London, United Kingdom, July 2026 — NatWest Group has appointed Nida Shaikh as Managing Director, Head of Trade Sales & Origination, Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB). In her new role, Nida will lead the bank’s trade sales and origination strategy, helping clients navigate evolving global trade dynamics while delivering innovative trade finance solutions that support business growth, sustainability, and international commerce.
Prior to joining NatWest Group, Nida spent nearly 20 years with Standard Chartered Bank, where she built an exceptional career across trade finance, transaction banking, investor relations, and financial institutions. Most recently, she served as Executive Director – Sustainable Trade Finance, leading initiatives that integrated sustainability into trade finance solutions. Earlier, she held the role of Executive Director – Global Trade Sales, Energy & Renewables, where she partnered with global clients across the energy sector to structure complex trade finance solutions supporting the energy transition.
During her tenure at Standard Chartered, Nida also served as Director – Trade Sales, Global Subsidiaries & Oil & Gas, Manager – Investor Relations, Associate Director – Financial Institutions, Product Manager – Cash & Trade, Transaction Banking, and Business Planning Manager – Transaction Banking. Across these leadership positions, she developed extensive expertise in global trade finance, transaction banking, corporate banking, client relationship management, structured trade solutions, and strategic business planning, working across key financial hubs including London, Houston, and Karachi.
With more than 20 years of experience in trade finance, corporate and institutional banking, transaction banking, sustainability, and international business, Nida has established herself as a respected leader in global trade. Her appointment underscores NatWest’s commitment to strengthening its Corporate & Institutional Banking franchise and expanding its capabilities in trade finance, client origination, and sustainable banking solutions.
