Gupta rejoins Hindustan Unilever after an illustrious career spanning global finance and corporate leadership. He spent two decades at Unilever, holding roles in finance and supply chain across India and international markets. His leadership included serving as Global Finance Director for Household Care and Hair Category, where he oversaw multi-billion euro portfolios, and as Chief Procurement Officer for South Asia, managing large-scale procurement and supply chain operations. His early years at Hindustan Lever Limited saw him lead finance for Modern Foods post-acquisition and drive P&L performance for new ventures.

In 2014, he joined Vedanta Group as CFO of Aluminium & Power, where he played a central role in strengthening financial structures and driving strategic initiatives in one of the group’s largest verticals.

As CEO, he steered the company to record revenues and profitability, while launching the strategic framework “House of Strategy – HOS 2030.” Under his leadership, Hero MotoCorp accelerated its focus on premium motorcycles and electric vehicles, with the “4S mantra” of Speed, Scale, Synergy, and Simplification guiding its transformation.

Beyond his corporate roles, Gupta has held board positions at Ather Energy, HMCMM, and HMCL Colombia, deepening his expertise in electric mobility, auto components, and international operations.
