Prior to this, Varma served as Managing Director – India & SAARC at CrowdStrike, where he was instrumental in scaling the company’s regional presence and strengthening its cybersecurity posture across critical sectors. His strategic foresight and customer-first approach helped build a robust go-to-market framework and expanded CrowdStrike’s influence in South Asia.
Previously, Varma was Senior Director for Oracle Cloud at Oracle, where he led cloud business transformation initiatives, helping clients adopt cloud technologies for improved operational resilience and scale. At Palo Alto Networks, he served as Director – Enterprise & Mid Market, India & SAARC, managing strategic business development and regional growth, with a focus on enterprise security and channel ecosystems.
Varma’s longest tenure was with Cisco Systems (India) Private Limited, where over nearly a decade he held several leadership roles, including Head – Manufacturing, Energy & ITS Vertical and Regional Manager – Manufacturing & Energy across North, West, and East India. His deep domain experience in vertical-focused business strategy and sales execution has contributed to his reputation as a transformational leader.
