Helsinki, Uusimaa, Finland, October 2025 — Päivi Itkonen-Melartin has been appointed as Chief Sales and Marketing Officer (CSMO) at Stockmann, where she will lead the company’s newly formed Sales & Performance Marketing Unit. In this strategic leadership role, Päivi will oversee the integration of omnichannel sales, department store operations, and performance marketing across Finland, Estonia, and Latvia, reinforcing Stockmann’s transformation into a data-driven, customer-centric retailer.
In her new position, Päivi will unite Stockmann’s iconic department stores, online stores, and customer service centers with cutting-edge performance marketing, personalization, and marketing automation. She emphasized her excitement about this opportunity, saying:

As a member of Stockmann’s division leadership team, Päivi will also hold turnover and P&L responsibility for the company’s sales channels, driving commercial excellence and growth through innovation and collaboration.
Päivi has been part of Stockmann for over seven years, playing a key role in its commercial and organizational evolution. Most recently, she served as Chief Sales Officer (CSO), leading omnichannel sales and managing P&L responsibility for both department stores and digital commerce across the Nordics and Baltics. Earlier, she was Director of Department Stores Tampere and Turku, where she successfully led flagship operations, improved customer experience scores (EVI), and implemented the company’s customer-centric strategy and premium brand positioning.
Before joining Stockmann, Päivi held leadership roles across the retail and consumer goods industries. She served as Area Manager at Omaeläinklinikka, driving growth and integration in a fast-scaling service company, and Product Group Manager at Musti ja Mirri Oy, where she led brand marketing and category strategy across 230 stores in the Nordics. Her earlier experience includes roles at Mars as Business Manager, and at Glitter International AB in store and sales leadership.
Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Päivi is deeply involved in business and community leadership, serving as Vice Chairman of Tampereen Kauppakamari, and as a Board Member at Finnresta Oy and Tampereen Messut.
