Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, January 2026 – Biotech Healthcare Group has announced the appointment of Pankaj Phatak as Vice President – HR (Global Human Resources), strengthening its global leadership team as the life sciences major continues to expand its presence across international markets. In his new role, Pankaj will lead Biotech’s global people strategy, leadership capability building, talent architecture and culture transformation agenda across its manufacturing, R&D and commercial operations spanning more than 100 countries.
Pankaj joins Biotech Healthcare after an illustrious career of over two decades with Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, where he most recently served as Director & Group HR Head – Central Functions (Global Manufacturing Operations). During his tenure, he led large-scale talent management, performance enablement and workforce integration programmes across global manufacturing operations.
Earlier at Dr. Reddy’s, he held senior leadership roles including Head Talent Acquisition, Talent Management & Performance Enablement – Global Manufacturing Ops, Head Talent Management – Global Generics India Business, Head HR – CIS Countries & Romania, Head HR – South Africa, and HR Lead – RoW Emerging Markets, playing a pivotal role in multi-country workforce integration, leadership capability building and people transformation initiatives across Europe, Africa and emerging markets.
Pankaj began his career in commercial leadership roles within the pharmaceutical sector, serving as Brand Manager – Global Oncology and Regional Business Manager – Oncology India, and earlier held sales leadership roles at Cipla, Nicholas Piramal India Ltd and Bharat Serums & Vaccines Ltd, building a unique blend of commercial and HR leadership expertise.
