Park University is proud to announce the appointment of Dr. Jayme Uden as the Chief Human Resources Officer.
Dr. Uden, who has been a part of the Park University community since July 2011, will lead the university’s human resources initiatives, focusing on talent management, employee relations, training and development, compensation and benefits, organizational development, HR information systems, and regulatory compliance. He will also take on the role of the University’s Title IX officer.
With a solid background in student life and administration, Dr. Uden previously served as the Associate Vice President and Dean of Students since December 2016. His extensive experience at Park University includes roles as Dean of Students, Associate Dean of Students, and Assistant Dean of Student Life. Before his tenure at Park, Dr. Uden contributed his expertise to the University of Kansas as an Assistant Director for Residence Life and to Kansas State University as a Residence Life Coordinator.
Dr. Michelle Myers, Park University’s Provost, commended Dr. Uden’s appointment, highlighting his invaluable experience in student affairs administration and his capability to enhance employee engagement across the Park University network.
Dr. Uden holds a Doctor of Education degree in higher education and a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of Kansas, as well as a Master of Education degree in higher education from Iowa State University. Throughout his over 20-year career in higher education, Dr. Uden has actively participated in various student life organizations and held leadership positions in NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and the Missouri Student Affairs Council, among others.
In his new role, Dr. Uden is set to collaborate with Park’s Vision 2025 People and Culture Strategic Impact Group to achieve goals related to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as to enhance communication and employee satisfaction within the university.
