Perminas Marisi Ascends to Chief Operating Officer at Rendeavour

LAGOS, NIGERIA — Rendeavour, Africa’s leading urban land developer, is proud to announce the appointment of Perminas Marisi as the new Chief Operating Officer. Marisi brings over two decades of extensive experience in real estate development and management, significantly contributing to urban planning and development across the continent.

Perminas Marisi recently elevated to the role of Chief Operating Officer at Rendeavour after a short but impactful tenure of 8 months within the company. In this role, he is responsible for maximizing the value of Rendeavour’s real estate portfolio in Nigeria, focusing on growth and strategic alignment with corporate objectives to ensure the organization remains “Best in Class.”

Prior to this, Marisi was the Country Head in Ghana, where he led the development of Appolonia City and King City, showcasing his ability to manage large-scale real estate projects and teams to deliver world-class urban spaces. His leadership was characterized by strategic planning and an acute focus on project delivery and budget management.

Marisi’s experience before joining Rendeavour includes significant positions at Tatu City in Kenya as the Head of City Management and Development Control Company, where he was instrumental in delivering a master-planned vision of work, live, and play environments. This role underscored his capability in managing top-tier infrastructure and amenities within a private city setting.

Before his tenure at Tatu City, Marisi served in various capacities at Broll Kenya Limited, where he managed facilities and project management activities, overseeing significant refurbishments and real estate projects that greatly improved client satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Marisi also held roles at Retriever Limited Kenya and Multiside Construction, where he led IT and technical support operations and managed multiple construction projects, respectively. His career began with a focus on technical and operational management, gradually shifting to strategic project management and real estate development.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
