Zurich, Switzerland, September 2025 – Pete Hendel has been appointed as Chief Digital & Information Officer (CDIO) at Akkodis, part of The Adecco Group. In his new role, he will lead Akkodis’ digital strategy, IT transformation, and information systems to accelerate the company’s Smart Industry vision and global growth agenda.
Before joining Akkodis, Pete spent over a decade at Bacardi, where he most recently served as Chief Information Officer. Based in Geneva, he was responsible for driving business transformation, IT operations, and e-commerce strategies while overseeing enterprise resource planning systems and digital innovation. Alongside his CIO role, he also held the position of Head of Strategy and Disruptive Innovation, guiding Bacardi’s global innovation roadmap and fostering open innovation initiatives.
Earlier at Bacardi, he served as Vice President, Information Technology and Shared Services, and later as Chief Information Officer for Europe, building global IT strategies, driving ERP implementations, and leading strategic transformation programs.
Pete’s earlier career includes an impressive 17-year tenure at Procter & Gamble, where he rose to Associate Director. At P&G, he built capabilities in sales mobility and supply chain IT while leading large-scale global projects such as Gillette/Wella Integration, CEEMEA SAP implementations, and major corporate restructuring initiatives. His career began as an Environmental Engineer at Jacques Whitford in Canada, giving him a strong grounding in analytical problem-solving and process management.
