Helsinki, Finland, January 2026 – Pia Lund has been appointed as Head of People Services at VR Group, Finland’s state-owned passenger, logistics and rail maintenance leader. In this role, she will lead centralized people services, payroll excellence, and HR service delivery modernization across VR Group’s national operations.
Pia Lund brings over a decade of progressive HR services and payroll leadership experience across Nordic enterprises. She joined VR Group in 2024 as Head of Payroll Services, where she led payroll transformation, compliance modernization and service excellence initiatives. She now assumes the broader enterprise leadership mandate for all People Services.
Prior to VR Group, Pia spent nearly seven years at Rantalainen Oy, serving as Director – HR Services, Service Manager – Payroll Services, and Payroll Specialist, where she led national payroll service delivery, client operations and service transformation programs.
Earlier in her career, she held payroll leadership roles at Azets, Visma Services Oy, H&M, and Cramo Finland Oy, building deep expertise in large-scale payroll operations, compliance, digital HR service delivery and Nordic employment governance.
