Helsinki, Finland, January 2025 – Piritta Leinonen has been appointed as the Vice President, People and Culture at Elisa. In her new role, she will lead the People Strategy development, employee engagement initiatives, and diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) efforts across the organization.
Piritta Leinonen has been associated with Elisa for approximately ten years. Prior to her promotion, she served as Vice President, HR, where she led a team of HR managers and focused on data-driven strategies, people sustainability, and compensation strategies while being a part of both the HR Leadership Team and the Production Leadership Team. Before that, she was an HR Manager at Elisa, specializing in compensation and benefits management, developing incentive programs, and working closely with executives and business leaders on rewarding strategies.
Earlier in her career, Piritta worked as an HR Business Partner at HR4 Solutions Oy, providing HR expertise for both global and local clients. She also served as Manager, HR at Powerwave Technologies and Specialist, HR at Elektrobit (EB). Her academic background includes roles as a Senior Assistant and Researcher at the University of Oulu and a Researcher at the University of Geneva.
