Pune, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Prachee Sonchal has been appointed as Director of Human Resources at Foseco India, bringing with her over two decades of leadership experience across the automotive, aerospace, and machinery manufacturing sectors. In this new role, she will lead strategic HR initiatives to strengthen organizational culture, talent development, and employee engagement while driving Foseco India’s continued transformation journey.
Before joining Foseco India, Prachee Sonchal served as Head of Human Resources at Burckhardt Compression, where she led the HR strategy for more than 700 employees, including the company’s Global Support Centre. During her tenure, she successfully implemented culture transformation programs, improved diversity representation, redesigned compensation structures, and maintained strong industrial relations while preparing for a major greenfield expansion.
Earlier, Prachee was Associate Director and Site HR Leader at Emerson Automation Solutions, where she played a crucial role in relocating factory operations during the COVID-19 period while ensuring minimal attrition and business continuity. She also digitized HR processes and spearheaded DE&I programs to increase workforce participation across multiple business units.
Prior to Emerson, she worked with GO FIRST (Go Airlines India) as General Manager – HRBP, where she partnered with business leadership to restructure operations, optimize costs, and support the launch of international routes while ensuring full compliance and effective cross-cultural integration.
Her earlier career includes serving as Head of Human Resources for Pune Operations at FORVIA HELLA, where she drove HR cost optimization, built technical skill pipelines, and introduced new R&D productivity initiatives. She also worked with Voltas Limited – A TATA Enterprise as Manager – Business HR, where she implemented succession planning and career development frameworks across project teams.
Prachee began her professional journey with Tata Motors, where she held diverse roles in business HR, talent acquisition, and learning & development. Recognized as a high-potential talent, she was selected for the Tata Administrative Services (TAS) HR Development Program, gaining cross-functional exposure through stints with Tata Teleservices, Tata Communications, Tata Starbucks, and the Sir Dorabji Tata Trust.
Prachee Sonchal holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) in Human Resources Management from Savitribai Phule Pune University.
