Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, September 2025 — Prajakta Kanaglekar has been appointed as the Global Chief People Officer at Rakuten Symphony, where she will spearhead the company’s global people strategy to drive talent development, organizational culture, and leadership excellence. With more than two decades of international HR experience spanning technology, e-commerce, energy, and manufacturing sectors, she brings a proven track record of driving transformation, building strong leadership pipelines, and fostering inclusive cultures.
Most recently, Prajakta served as Vice President for Technology, Supply Chain, CX, Recommerce & Minutes at Flipkart, where she led strategic HR initiatives that contributed significantly to organizational transformation and capability building. Prior to this, she held leadership roles within Flipkart as Supply Chain and CX HR Leader and Senior Director – Organization & Development, where she shaped critical talent strategies, performance development frameworks, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Prajakta held key HR leadership positions at Baker Hughes and GE, serving as Global Director of Leadership Development, Head of HR for South Asia, and HR Leader for India markets. During this time, she drove leadership development programs, cultural transformation, and global university recruitment strategies. A graduate of GE’s prestigious Human Resources Leadership Program (HRLP), she has been widely recognized for her impact in HR, including honors such as India HR 40 Under 40 (2018) and the Young HR Leader Award (2019).
Beyond her corporate journey, Prajakta serves as an Advisory Board Member at UPES, where she contributes to advancing talent and leadership development at scale. Her appointment at Rakuten Symphony underscores the organization’s commitment to strengthening a people-first culture while driving innovation in the global telecom industry.
