Gurugram, Haryana, India, December 2024 – Prashant Sarwade has been promoted to Head of Marketing – B2C, Food Service & Bakery at Cargill, marking another significant milestone in his career. Prashant will now lead marketing strategies and initiatives for Cargill’s extensive brand portfolio, which spans B2C, food service, and bakery categories. His promotion reflects his exceptional leadership and strategic acumen, demonstrated through his impactful contributions as Head of Brand – FMCG, Retail Bakery, and Food Service over the last three years.
Prashant’s journey at Cargill began in 2021, where he led the strategic marketing transformation for a $400 million portfolio, including prominent brands like NatureFresh Cooking Oil and professional bakery solutions. His tenure was marked by innovation, team leadership, and the successful execution of marketing campaigns that strengthened Cargill’s market position.
Prior to Cargill, Prashant held the position of Vice President – Marketing at GNC, where he spearheaded growth initiatives for sports nutrition and wellness products in India. Before this, he led marketing and product development as General Manager – Head of Marketing, India at Frigorifico Allana Ltd., part of the IFFCO Group, overseeing brands like London Dairy and Allegro Olive Oil.
Prashant’s extensive career also includes roles at Jubilant FoodWorks Ltd., where he established the Dunkin’ Donuts brand in India, and at Britannia Industries Limited, where he managed premium brands like Bourbon and Treat. He began his marketing journey with leadership roles at Reliance Industries Limited and Cadbury India (now Mondelez).
Prashant is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), where he pursued his Post-Graduate Program in Marketing. He also holds a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi.
