Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2026 – Praveen Voona has been appointed as HR Leader – People & Culture Business Partner for ABB Robotics, India, Middle East & Africa at ABB, marking a significant milestone in his accomplished HR leadership journey.
Praveen joins ABB Robotics after over 15 years with Airbus, where he played a pivotal role in shaping enterprise HR strategy and scaling Global Capability Centre (GCC) operations. As Head of HR for Airbus India’s Digital & Information Management GCC, he partnered closely with global and India leadership to define and execute the people strategy for a mission-critical digital hub. During this period, he helped scale the digital workforce from approximately 25 to 1,500 employees in five years, while institutionalizing a leadership ecosystem spanning front-line, middle, and senior leadership layers.
In parallel, Praveen served as Business Owner for the end-to-end Workday implementation, spearheading HR digital transformation initiatives that modernized decision-making, strengthened governance, and enhanced employee experience at scale. Earlier at Airbus, he led Talent Acquisition, Employer Branding, and HR Digitalization across India & South Asia, scaling engineering and digital GCCs from 300 to 2,000 employees and significantly improving employer brand positioning in India.
An alumnus of executive programmes at Indian School of Business and currently part of the FUTURE CHRO programme, Praveen brings deep expertise in enterprise HR strategy, organizational design, workforce planning, leadership development, and transformation at scale.
In his new regional mandate at ABB Robotics, Praveen is expected to drive people strategy, organizational effectiveness, and leadership capability across India, the Middle East, and Africa, strengthening ABB’s position as a pioneer in robotics, machine automation, and digital services.
