Pune, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Bridgestone India Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, Japan, has announced the appointment of Rajarshi Moitra as Managing Director, effective January 1, 2026. With over six years at Bridgestone India and more than two decades of multi-sector experience, Rajarshi brings an exceptional blend of strategic acumen, operational depth, and leadership excellence to the role.
In his current capacity as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), Rajarshi has led Bridgestone India’s Consumer, Commercial, Solutions, and Supply Chain functions, steering the company through significant phases of growth and transformation. His prior tenure as Executive Officer – Consumer Business saw him strengthen market penetration, enhance customer engagement, and fortify Bridgestone’s position as a trusted brand among Indian and global OEMs.
Before joining Bridgestone, Rajarshi spent nearly 16 years with CEAT Tyres Limited, where he held key leadership roles including Vice President – International Business, Vice President & Head Strategy, and Vice President – Key Account Business Operations. His leadership during this period was pivotal in driving CEAT’s global expansion, portfolio diversification, and strategic roadmap execution across geographies. He was instrumental in building go-to-market models, identifying growth opportunities, and leading multiple transformation programs to deliver sustainable business performance.
Earlier in his career, Rajarshi worked with PepsiCo India, Marico Limited, and Ranbaxy Laboratories, where he gained diverse experience across human resources, organizational capability, and strategic planning. This early foundation in people and performance management continues to inform his inclusive leadership approach and commitment to developing high-performing teams.
An alumnus of the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), where he completed his Postgraduate Programme in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations, and INSEAD, where he pursued Strategic Marketing, Rajarshi combines academic insight with extensive on-ground experience across industries. His appointment underscores Bridgestone’s confidence in his ability to advance its long-term growth agenda, elevate operational excellence, and strengthen stakeholder value creation in India’s dynamic mobility sector.
