Mukesh Kumar Promoted to Senior General Manager – Employee Relations at Maruti Suzuki India Limited

Manesar, Haryana, India, April 2026 – Mukesh Kumar has been promoted to the role of Senior General Manager – Employee Relations at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, marking a significant advancement in his long-standing career with the organization.

In this elevated role, Mukesh Kumar will continue to lead critical industrial and employee relations functions, ensuring harmonious workforce relationships, strengthening union-management collaboration, and driving organizational effectiveness across operations.

Prior to this promotion, Mukesh Kumar served as General Manager – Employee Relations at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he played a pivotal role in managing industrial relations, union negotiations, and workforce engagement strategies. He was actively involved in wage settlement negotiations across multiple cycles and contributed significantly to maintaining stable and productive industrial relations.

Earlier, he held the role of Industrial Relations Senior Manager at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, where he led employee relations strategy, workforce planning, and engagement initiatives, strengthening shop-floor HR visibility and enhancing communication frameworks across the organization.

Before that, he served as Employee Relations Manager, managing compliance, workforce lifecycle processes, and digital HR transformation initiatives, including migration to SAP-based systems and implementation of employee self-service platforms.

He began his journey at Maruti Suzuki in various HR roles including Deputy Manager and Assistant Manager, building strong expertise in payroll, compliance, talent management, and employee lifecycle management. Prior to joining Maruti Suzuki, he worked with Terex Vectra Equipment Pvt. Ltd. and JBM Group, where he gained foundational experience in talent acquisition, training, and HR operations.

Across his career, Mukesh Kumar has developed deep expertise in industrial relations, union engagement, compliance, and workforce transformation, playing a key role in building high-trust employee environments and driving organizational stability.
