Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 — Rajesh Kumar has joined Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL) as Senior Vice President – Group Procurement & Supply Chain Management, bringing with him more than three decades of leadership experience across the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) industry. In his new role, Rajesh will lead strategic procurement, supply chain systems, and subcontracting operations for technology-led Industrial EPC projects and Process Plants. His appointment underscores KPIL’s ongoing commitment to operational excellence, innovation-driven project execution, and sustainable value creation across its global project portfolio.
Prior to joining Kalpataru Projects, Rajesh served in a distinguished leadership capacity at Larsen & Toubro (L&T), where he headed Supply Chain and Subcontracts Management for large, complex Infrastructure, Industrial, Water, Irrigation, and International EPC projects. Over his 20-year tenure at L&T, he oversaw procurement strategies for multi-billion-dollar project portfolios, vendor development frameworks, logistics optimization, and digitalization of supply chain processes.
Earlier in his career, Rajesh held key roles at McNally Bharat Engineering Company Limited, where he gained extensive experience in EPC project execution, QA/QC systems, and materials engineering. His early professional journey in design, vendor engineering, and commissioning equips him with a comprehensive understanding of EPC workflows — from technical specification and vendor alignment to on-ground execution and lifecycle project governance.
A Mechanical Engineer from Shivaji University, Rajesh also holds advanced credentials in Financial Management, along with executive leadership programs from IIM Calcutta, ISB, Michigan Ross, and National Law School of India University. His multidisciplinary background and people-first leadership approach position him to accelerate procurement efficiency, strengthen vendor ecosystems, and reinforce supply chain resilience at KPIL.
