Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 2025 – Ram N has been promoted to Vice President Marketing at Atul Ltd., marking a significant career advancement within the company. In his new role, he will spearhead marketing strategy and growth initiatives, further strengthening Atul’s position as one of India’s leading integrated chemical companies.
Prior to this promotion, Ram N served as Senior General Manager – Colors Business at Atul Ltd. for about two years. During this tenure, he was instrumental in driving the colors portfolio, expanding market reach, and building sustainable business growth across key regions. His leadership in marketing and operational excellence contributed to significant achievements for the business unit.
Before rejoining Atul, he worked as Vice President at Thai Ambica Chemicals Co. Ltd. in Thailand for nearly three years. There, he held overall P&L responsibility and was credited with transforming the organization into a leaner, more viable entity. Among his many accomplishments were a 70% reduction in overheads, a 50% cut in financial losses during challenging market conditions, and the development of systems that enhanced organizational efficiency and communication.
Earlier, Ram N spent over 15 years at Atul Ltd. and its subsidiary Atul China Ltd., where he held leadership roles including Business Head of Atul China Ltd. for nearly five years. Based in Shanghai, he turned around operations to profitability after four years, increased sales by 400%, and built strategic alliances with Chinese companies. He also played a pivotal role in sourcing, vendor management, and developing international market intelligence, contributing significantly to Atul’s global growth strategy.
His early career was marked by steady growth at Atul Ltd. India, where he worked in diverse marketing and sourcing roles, and before that at Indokem Limited, where he gained more than five years of foundational experience in sales and marketing across South India.
