Gurugram, Haryana, India, August 2025 — Cognizant has announced the elevation of Rashmi Vasisht to Vice President and Global Head – Marketing & Communications, Global Capability Centers (GCCs). With over two decades of distinguished expertise in corporate communications, media relations, employer branding, and digital strategies across technology, hospitality, and healthcare sectors, she will now lead integrated marketing and communications for Cognizant’s GCCs worldwide.

In her expanded role, Rashmi has successfully reframed diversity and inclusion narratives, engineered a landmark DEI partnership with NASSCOM, and delivered campaigns that positioned the brand as an industry leader. She has also driven impactful internal communications strategies for Cognizant’s 240,000+ associates in India, enhancing employee engagement and strengthening the company’s overall brand narrative.

Before this, Rashmi helmed Corporate Communications at Apple India, where she enhanced brand reputation, navigated high-profile crises, and cultivated influential alliances with media and policy stakeholders, achieving a significant turnaround in market sentiment.

Earlier, as Director – Public Relations & Corporate Communications at The Leela Palaces, Hotels and Resorts, she elevated the brand to global prominence, securing the title of “No.1 Brand in the World” in the Travel + Leisure US World’s Best Awards. She also spearheaded global campaigns, forged high-profile partnerships, and drove substantial growth in international brand recognition.

Her career also includes a highly impactful tenure at the Office of the New York State Attorney General, where she developed PR strategies for landmark policy initiatives, launched socially responsible programs, and created the country’s first prescription drug price comparison website—an innovation that spurred legislative reforms and won national recognition.
