Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States, March 2025 – Rebecca Kauffman Milbury has been elevated to Chief People Officer at BlueRock Therapeutics, marking a new chapter in her career with the company. In her expanded role, she will lead BlueRock’s People & Culture function, ensuring the alignment of HR strategies with the company’s mission of advancing regenerative medicine. Her focus will include talent development, organizational growth, and fostering an innovative work culture.
Rebecca has been an integral part of BlueRock Therapeutics for nearly five years, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Head of People & Culture. In this role, she led HR transformation initiatives, talent management, and workforce planning, ensuring a strong foundation for employee engagement and leadership development. Prior to that, she held the position of Vice President, Head of People & Culture, where she played a key role in driving HR operational excellence and shaping the company’s people-first culture.
Before joining BlueRock, Rebecca spent over four years at Foundation Medicine, where she held roles including Global Head of HR Business Partners. During her tenure, she spearheaded HR operations, talent management, and leadership development initiatives, ensuring that the company’s workforce strategy aligned with its mission in precision medicine. Her ability to drive organizational change and leadership growth contributed significantly to Foundation Medicine’s success in a fast-evolving healthcare sector.
Earlier, Rebecca worked at Staples for nearly two years, serving as HR Business Partner, Mid-Market Sales, and Project Manager, Talent Management & Engagement. In these roles, she focused on organizational development, HR strategy, and employee engagement programs, strengthening Staples’ talent pipeline and culture. She also gained experience in HR operations, benefits administration, and global HR projects during her time at Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where she held roles such as Benefits Sr. Specialist and HR Business Partner.
Rebecca’s career spans diverse industries, with experience in staffing, employee engagement, and HR operations at Professional Staffing Group and Exhale Spa. Her early career included roles in talent acquisition and HR project management, providing her with a well-rounded foundation in human resources. Her extensive expertise across healthcare, pharmaceuticals, retail, and life sciences makes her a strategic leader in driving BlueRock Therapeutics’ people agenda.
