Plano, Texas, United States, July 2024 – Renee Anderson has joined North Texas Food Bank as the new Vice President of People and Culture. In her new role, she will lead HR strategies to support the organization’s mission and foster a positive work environment.
Previously, Renee served as the Senior Director of Human Resources at The Legacy Senior Communities for over five years. She spearheaded transformative initiatives to enhance workplace culture, streamline operations, and drive engagement. Her achievements include a 30% reduction in medical benefits costs, an 86% engagement index, and a Great Place to Work Certification.
Prior to that, she was the Director of Human Resources at Encompass Health for nearly six years. She led initiatives to surpass turnover goals and achieve an 89.9% employee engagement score.
Earlier in her career, Renee worked at Vi, formerly known as Classic Residence by Hyatt, where she held various HR roles, including Director of Human Resources and Human Resources Manager. She played a key role in achieving full engagement survey participation and implementing HRIS systems across 23 communities.
The North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) is a top-ranked nonprofit hunger-relief organization operating a state-of-the-art volunteer and distribution center in Plano, Texas. Last year, the Food Bank provided access to nearly 77 million nutritious meals across a 13-county service area. NTFB aims to increase food distribution efforts to provide 92 million nutritious meals annually by 2025.
