Meridian, Idaho, United States – October 2024 – Renee Senander has been appointed as the Chief Human Resources Officer at West Ada School District, the largest school district in Idaho. In her new role, Renee will oversee HR operations, focusing on talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and staff development to support the district’s mission of preparing students for future challenges.
Before joining West Ada School District, Renee served as the Chief Human Resources Officer at the City of Healdsburg for over a year. During her tenure, she implemented strategic workforce planning, navigated complex labor relations, and fostered an inclusive workplace culture. Her efforts included recruiting top talent, supporting employee appreciation events, and managing employee relations initiatives.
Prior to her role at the City of Healdsburg, Renee held the position of Human Resources Manager at the same organization. For nearly three years, she managed HR operations, including recruitment, employee benefits, and labor relations. Renee was instrumental in supporting COVID-19 policy implementation and creating efficient HR processes that enhanced organizational performance.
Renee’s HR career also includes experience at Sonoma State University, where she served as the Manager of Workers’ Compensation, ADA, and Leave Administration for six years. She developed effective programs to manage workers’ compensation, ADA compliance, and leave administration, achieving a 50% reduction in claims and improving employee wellness initiatives across the university.
Earlier in her career, Renee worked as an Ergonomic Specialist at Stanford University, where she developed the SLAC ergonomics program, promoted workplace wellness, and provided training and ergonomic evaluations. Her expertise in wellness, safety, and compliance has shaped her strategic approach to HR management.
