Mumbai, India — TIAA proudly announces the appointment of Renu Vijayanand as the new Senior Managing Director and Chief Human Resources Officer for its India operations. With over two decades of experience in human resources, Vijayanand brings a rich background in strategic HR leadership, particularly in transformation and organizational development.
Prior to joining TIAA, Renu Vijayanand held the position of Global Co-Head of Human Resources Business Partners (HRBP) at MUFG for two years. In this position, she played a pivotal role in aligning the organization’s transformation strategies across its global infrastructure functions. Her leadership helped streamline operations and enhance organizational effectiveness worldwide.
Vijayanand also served as the Head of Human Resources at MUFG’s Global Capability Center in India, where she was instrumental in revamping the HR functions to better support business objectives and employee needs from July 2021 to March 2024.
Before her tenure at MUFG, Renu was deeply involved in strategic HR roles at the Australia & New Zealand Banking Group (ANZ) and Crédit Agricole CIB. At ANZ, as the Head of Human Resources for India and the Middle East, she led significant initiatives that improved HR delivery, employee engagement, and compliance frameworks, contributing to robust workforce development and strategic alignment.
