Manchester, England, United Kingdom, July 2024 – Rich Hughes has taken on a new role as Chief People Officer at Conexus MedStaff, a company dedicated to providing life-changing U.S. healthcare careers to qualified registered nurses from around the world, international nursing graduates studying in the U.S., and international medical technologists. Rich will be the first Executive Board representative for the people function and looks forward to supporting global growth and success in all areas.
Rich Hughes joins Conexus MedStaff from M247, where he served as Chief People Officer for approximately 2 years and 4 months. During his tenure, he overhauled talent attraction, pre-boarding, on-boarding, and induction processes, and achieved significant improvements in employee engagement, retention, and global headcount growth.
Prior to M247, Rich was the Global Human Resources Director at Oliver James for around 3 years and 2 months. He transitioned the company’s culture and values, drove exponential growth into new territories, and significantly improved profitability through operating structures and bonus and commission modeling.
Rich also worked as Human Resources Director at RHHR for approximately 2 years and 9 months, providing tailored board-level support on business-critical transformation projects for multiple well-known brands in retail, hospitality, and manufacturing.
Earlier in his career, Rich was the Human Resources Lead at Peninsula Business Services for about 2 years and 5 months, leading a large HR advice team and managing strategic and operational HR elements for the business and its affiliated brands.
Rich began his career at Next Group PLC, where he held various positions over approximately 8 years, including Department Manager HR and Training & Recruitment Manager.
