Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, April 2025 – Rishang Deoras has been promoted to Global Director – Diabetes Commercial Unit at Novo Nordisk, taking on a pivotal role in steering the company’s global diabetes strategy and commercial initiatives. In this elevated position, Rishang will lead global strategy and execution across marketing, market access, customer insights, forecasting, and digital commercialization for a broad diabetes portfolio including Ozempic®, Rybelsus®, Victoza®, and Insulin Icodec.
Over the past five years at Novo Nordisk, Rishang has held critical leadership roles, most recently serving as Head – Diabetes TA (Global Marketing | Global Market Access | Insights & Forecasting). He managed a 57-member team across multiple global functions, playing a central role in new product launches, lifecycle management, digital health partnerships, and global omnichannel strategies.
Prior to that, Rishang served as Global Marketing Manager overseeing diverse portfolios in GLP1 Diabetes, Obesity, Rare Diseases, and Devices, driving international marketing, strategic communication, and commercial excellence. His leadership was integral to the company’s global positioning in therapeutic areas like obesity and hemophilia.
Before joining Novo Nordisk, Rishang held senior marketing roles at AstraZeneca, where he led the Cardiovascular, Renal & Metabolic (CVRM) portfolio, and GSK Consumer Healthcare, where he worked on India’s top FMCG health brand, Horlicks®. He began his career at Zydus Cadila and was previously recognized with awards for strategic brand performance.
