City of Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa, July 2024 – Rishi Ramgulam has joined PEP as the new Chief Executive: People. Rishi will be part of the PEP Executive Committee (EXCO) and the HR Forum of Pepkor, responsible for delivering both the business and people strategy.
Rishi Ramgulam most recently served as Group Human Capital Executive at Cape Union Mart Group, where he led human capital initiatives and strategies across the organization. His leadership and strategic vision significantly contributed to the group’s growth and employee engagement.
Before Cape Union Mart Group, Rishi was the Head of HR at Retailability, where he managed HR operations and implemented effective HR policies during his tenure.
Prior to this, Rishi had a long-standing career at Edcon, serving as HR Executive Head – Edgars for 20 years. He managed the Human Resources Business Partner function at Edgars, designing and implementing HR strategies for Edgars Merchandise, Corporate, and Operations.
Rishi’s extensive experience in human resources and his strategic approach to managing people make him a valuable addition to PEP’s leadership team.
