Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Ritu Arora has been appointed as Country Head – India at Allianz, marking a significant leadership transition that reinforces the Group’s long-term commitment to India’s dynamic financial and insurance landscape. With over 25 years of experience in investment management, financial services, and corporate strategy, Ritu brings a wealth of global and regional expertise to her new role.
In her previous position as CEO & CIO of Allianz Investment Management Asia Pacific and India Advisor to the Allianz SE Board, Ritu oversaw investment operations across 12 countries and 21 entities, managing an asset portfolio exceeding USD 50 billion. Her leadership was instrumental in driving Allianz’s investment strategy in Asia, enhancing cross-border collaboration, and aligning regional goals with the Group’s global objectives.
Ritu also served as Non-Executive Director on the boards of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance and Bajaj Allianz General Insurance, where she championed strategic partnerships and governance initiatives that elevated Allianz’s visibility and influence in the Indian market. She represented the Group at high-level global forums, including the G7 Investor Leadership Network, contributing to initiatives around climate change and gender diversity in investments.

Before joining Allianz, Ritu held leadership positions across several prestigious organizations, including Canara HSBC Life Insurance, MetLife India Insurance, Coca-Cola India, Gillette India Pvt. Ltd., and Marico Limited, where she managed key functions spanning treasury, investments, and financial strategy. Her extensive experience in both multinational corporations and domestic institutions has provided her with a deep understanding of India’s evolving financial ecosystem.
In her new role, Ritu will focus on strengthening Allianz’s business operations in India, driving strategic partnerships, and aligning the company’s long-term growth vision with the country’s emerging opportunities in insurance and asset management. Her appointment reflects Allianz’s commitment to leadership excellence, innovation, and sustainable growth across its global markets.
