London, United Kingdom, July 2024 – Rob Whittick has started his new role as Chief Financial Officer at Boku Inc., marking an exciting new chapter in his professional journey.
Rob Whittick brings a wealth of experience in financial management and strategic leadership to his new position at Boku Inc. Before joining Boku, Rob served as a Non-Executive Director at Motability Operations Ltd for over three years. During his tenure, he was a key member of the Audit Committee, contributing to the UK’s largest car leasing company’s success, which serves around 700,000 disabled people with affordable transport solutions.
Prior to his role at Motability Operations, Rob had an illustrious 26-year career at NatWest Group. He held various significant positions, including Group Chief of Staff, where he led a multidisciplinary team of 200 people. Rob was responsible for strategic delivery across the Group, driving growth, simplification, and capital allocation initiatives that significantly increased the return on tangible equity. He also played a crucial role in several business restructures and led the creation of a new Digital Executive Hub.
As the Finance Director for Commercial and Private Banking, Rob was accountable for all aspects of finance, providing strategic insight and analysis, financial control, and regulatory engagement. His leadership transformed the finance team into idea generators, delivering substantial economic value through capital allocation and efficient operating models. He also redesigned the bank-wide budgeting process and actively participated in investor relations presentations.
Earlier in his career at NatWest Group, Rob served as the CAO for International Banking, managing a global team and leading the development of business strategies. He also held roles such as Head of Finance for Executive Decision Support, where he partnered with senior executives to drive business performance, and Finance Director for Banking, overseeing financial control and reporting.
Rob’s extensive experience also includes a role as Audit Senior at Grant Thornton LLP, where he gained valuable insights into financial auditing and reporting.
