Kalkara, Malta, January 2026 — Rodney Debono has started a new position as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at AirX, marking a key leadership progression within the organisation. In this role, Debono will lead the group’s HR strategy, supporting workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, and people-centric initiatives aligned with AirX’s growth and operational priorities.
Prior to assuming the CHRO role, Rodney Debono served as Head of Human Resources at AirX, following earlier responsibilities as Human Resources Manager. Across these roles, he has been closely involved in shaping HR policies, strengthening systems and processes, and supporting the organisation’s evolving people agenda from its Malta operations.
Alongside his corporate responsibilities, Debono has also contributed to academia as a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Malta, where he shared practical insights drawn from his professional experience in human resources and organisational management.
