Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 – Abbott India has announced the appointment of Rohit Gupta as its new Sales Director, joining the company’s India Leadership Team. In this strategic role, Rohit will lead Abbott Nutrition’s USD 250 million business, overseeing a team of over 1,400 professionals. Before joining Abbott India, Rohit Gupta served as Director – Professional Sales at Kenvue (formerly Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health), where he successfully built Kenvue’s Derma Division and launched premium skincare brands such as Aveeno and Neutrogena. He also designed and executed the acclaimed “Win at Birth” project, strengthening Johnson’s Baby equity across more than 10,000 nursing homes in India.

Earlier, at Cipla Health Ltd, Rohit played a key role in scaling the business threefold — from approximately USD 50 million to USD 150 million — while leading a large sales force and improving profitability. His leadership was instrumental in launching new D2C brands and integrating strategic acquisitions that doubled product growth.

At Unilever, he worked as Customer Marketing & Channel Lead – Nutrition & OTC-OH, helping deliver 8% growth in the nutrition business and 19% growth in the OTC-OH segment. Prior to that, during his extensive tenure at GSK Consumer Healthcare India, he held several leadership roles, including National Customer Marketing Manager and Regional Business Manager, driving category growth and implementing go-to-market excellence initiatives across India.

Rohit began his career with HDFC Bank and Adani Wilmar, building his early expertise in sales, distribution, and business development before moving into the healthcare and nutrition sectors that have since defined his leadership journey.

Rohit Gupta holds an MBA in Marketing from the FORE School of Management, New Delhi, where he also served as Head of the Student Council (ThinkTank). He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering from Maharshi Dayanand University. His strong technical and strategic foundation has shaped his holistic approach to leadership and business transformation.
