With over two decades of leadership experience in finance, procurement, and commercial excellence, Rohit brings extensive expertise in driving financial transformation and operational efficiency across large, complex, and global organizations. His appointment reinforces Ambuja Cements’ commitment to strengthening its financial governance and advancing its next phase of sustainable growth.
Prior to this, Rohit served as Chief Financial Officer at Adani New Industries Limited and earlier at Adani Energy Solutions Ltd., where he played a pivotal role in supporting large-scale infrastructure and energy transitions. He worked closely with the Board and leadership teams on strategic initiatives, financial stewardship, and capital efficiency across emerging energy portfolios.
Earlier in his career, Rohit held several senior leadership roles within the Vedanta Group, including Chief Procurement Officer at Vedanta Resources Limited, Chief Commercial Officer for the Aluminium Business, and Chief Financial Officer at both Bharat Aluminium Company Limited (BALCO) and Vedanta Zinc International (South Africa). His career spans managing multi-billion-dollar procurement operations, leading high-performing finance teams, and implementing digital and process transformation frameworks that deliver measurable business value.
At Ambuja Cements, Rohit will oversee the company’s financial strategy, risk management, and governance functions while partnering with business leaders to drive performance, efficiency, and long-term value creation.
