Tampa, Florida, United States, November 2025 — Ryan Burg has started a new position as Vice President of Talent Relations at American Veterinary Group (AVG), bringing a rich and diverse background in recruitment leadership, clinical staffing, retention strategy, and multi-state healthcare talent operations. In his new role, he will lead AVG’s end-to-end talent relations strategy, strengthen talent pathways across more than 150 veterinary practices, and support the continued scale-up of the organization’s high-growth workforce ecosystem.
Before joining AVG, Ryan served as Chief Talent Officer at CHE Behavioral Health Services, where he spent nearly two years overseeing talent operations for a multispecialty clinical group dedicated to expanding access to behavioral and mental health services. During this time, he played a central role in supporting a clinical team of more than 700 licensed professionals across telehealth, skilled nursing facilities, in-person clinics, assisted living facilities, and home health care settings.
Prior to this role, Ryan was Vice President – Recruitment & Retention at Vitae Health Systems, leading talent strategy for a fast-growing healthcare services organization focused on supporting skilled nursing facilities across the Midwest and East Coast. His work contributed to strengthening recruitment pipelines, improving retention mechanisms, and aligning staffing solutions with patient-centered models of care.
Ryan also served as Vice President – Recruitment & Retention at Alvita Care, where he oversaw recruitment operations for premier in-home care services designed to enhance client well-being, independence, and dignity. He played a key role in designing customized care-team staffing solutions and ensuring timely fulfillment for diverse in-home care needs.
Earlier in his career, Ryan spent seven years at CHE Behavioral Health Services as Vice President – Talent Acquisition, and prior to that, over five years at Randstad Healthcare, progressing through roles including Director of Physician Recruitment, Manager – Physician Recruitment, and Physician Consultant. These roles provided him with a strong foundation in physician staffing, talent sourcing, recruiter management, recruitment KPIs, and P&L oversight across large, multi-specialty healthcare environments.
