Helsinki Metropolitan Area, Finland, January 2026 — Sensofusion has appointed Saara Somersalmi as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). In her new role, Saara will lead Sensofusion’s global people and culture agenda, overseeing all areas of human capital as the company continues to expand its footprint as a leading provider of advanced anti-drone and security technologies.
With a distinguished career across Nordic and international technology, industrial, and HR-tech organizations, Saara brings deep expertise in building inclusive, agile cultures, modern digital HR strategies, and scalable people systems that enable high-growth businesses.
Before joining Sensofusion, Saara Somersalmi served as Chief Human Resources Officer at Sympa, where she led People & Culture for the Nordic HR technology company, driving a modern, tech-enabled HR strategy that enhanced employee experience, performance, and international growth while leveraging digital HR platforms to streamline decision-making and employee lifecycle management.
Earlier, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at Oilon, leading HR and People functions to support international business expansion. She also served as Chief Culture Officer & COO People Services at Gallant Finland, where she was responsible for HR operations, culture transformation, and P&L management for payroll and HR consulting services.
Saara previously held the role of Head of HR at Swappie and spent over three years as Head of HR at Vainu, where she built scalable HR processes for a fast-growing international SaaS company, leading large-scale recruitment, onboarding, and change management initiatives.
She spent four years as VP HR at Zalaris, where she established the HR function, designed end-to-end HR processes across nine countries, and supported rapid international growth. Earlier in her career, Saara held leadership roles in M&A and business development at Posti Group Oyj, as well as legal leadership positions at Castrén & Snellman, KLegal, and Heikki Haapaniemi Oy, bringing a strong foundation in governance, compliance, and strategic transactions.
