Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 2025 – Sajith Sivanandan has been appointed as the President of Jio Mobile Digital Services at Jio Platforms, bringing over two decades of leadership experience in technology and digital media. Renowned for his expertise in driving growth and innovation, Sajith will lead Jio Mobile’s next-generation digital services, leveraging AI to deliver scalable and impactful solutions that enhance user experiences.
Sajith joins Jio after an impactful tenure as the CEO of Disney+ Hotstar, where he led the platform’s strategy, scaling its user base, and managing functions including product development, partnerships, analytics, and profitability. Under his leadership, Disney+ Hotstar achieved remarkable growth in India, becoming a leading player in the streaming industry. He also collaborated with regional teams across EMEA and APAC, contributing to the global rollout of Disney+.

Before his time at Disney+ Hotstar, Sajith spent 15 years at Google, holding several key leadership roles. As the Managing Director for Google Pay and Next Billion User Initiatives, he spearheaded the growth of Google’s payments business in APAC and played a pivotal role in driving the adoption of digital payments in India. Sajith also served as Managing Director of Google Malaysia, Vietnam, and the Philippines, where he successfully established Google’s operations and led its growth in emerging markets.
Earlier in his career, Sajith held leadership positions at Gallup Organization and Star TV, where he honed his expertise in sales, consumer insights, and market development. His diverse experience across digital ecosystems and his ability to lead cross-functional teams have made him a recognized figure in the technology and media industries.
