Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2024 – Sakshi Handa has been appointed as the new Group Chief Ethics Officer at Mahindra Group. In addition to her current role as SVP Corporate HR and Group Talent, Handa is excited to lead the group’s ethics initiatives, emphasizing that values and ethics are integral to Mahindra’s DNA and competitive advantage.
Handa has been with Mahindra Group since August 2023, serving as SVP Corporate HR, Group Talent & Ethics. In this role, she has overseen corporate HR functions and talent management strategies, contributing significantly to the organization’s growth and development. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a culture of ethics and values across the group.
Prior to joining Mahindra Group, Handa had an illustrious career at Unilever, spanning over 16 years. She held various key roles, including Human Resources Director for Unilever Bangladesh, where she led HR strategies and initiatives that supported business growth and employee engagement. Her tenure at Unilever also included roles such as GM HR, Supply Chain, Finance and Legal – South Asia, Head HR, Supply Chain South Asia, and HR Business Partner, Homecare, CMCO. In these roles, she drove HR transformation, capability development, and change management initiatives.
Handa’s journey at Unilever began as an Employer Brand Manager and Manager- Talent Practices, where she developed and implemented talent management strategies that strengthened the organization’s employer brand and talent pipeline. Before her time at Unilever, she worked at Aon as a Compensation & Benefits Consultant, where she gained valuable experience in compensation strategies and HR consulting.
Handa holds a degree in HR Management from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, where she majored in Human Resources Management.
