Kolkata, West Bengal, India, January 2026 – Samarpita Roy has been appointed as Global Chief Human Resource Officer at Expat US Tax, taking on a global mandate to lead the organization’s people strategy, talent development, HR governance, and workforce scalability across its international operations. In her new role, she will be responsible for strengthening leadership capability, building a future-ready HR ecosystem, and supporting Expat US Tax’s continued global growth.
Samarpita Roy brings over a decade of progressive HR leadership experience across IT services, professional services, and high-growth organizations, with deep expertise in talent acquisition, employee engagement, HR strategy, and organizational development.
Her appointment reflects Expat US Tax’s focus on building a robust global people function aligned with its expanding footprint across multiple geographies.
Samarpita Roy most recently served as Head of HR at Shyam Sundar Co. Jewellers Pvt. Ltd., where she led end-to-end HR operations and people initiatives during a critical phase of organizational transition. Prior to this, she was Chief Human Resources Officer at Growthxo Pvt. Ltd., where she spent over three years building and scaling HR systems, strengthening hiring frameworks, and driving employee engagement in a growing business environment.
Earlier in her career, she held senior HR leadership roles at Cosmos Maya India Private Limited as Senior Manager HR, and at Plutus Info Solutions, where she progressed from HR Manager Zonal to Human Resources Director and later HR Head – Vice President, playing a pivotal role in shaping HR policies, talent strategies, and leadership pipelines.
Samarpita Roy began her HR career with roles at Elagoon Softech Pvt. Ltd., Appectual IT Solutions, and other early-stage organizations, gaining strong grounding in talent acquisition, HR operations, and people processes. She holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Shridhar University, Pilani, providing her with a solid academic foundation in HR strategy and people management.
