Kuala Lumpur, Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, February 2026 — Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has announced the appointment of Dr. Guna R. as Director – Employee Experience, based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. With over three decades of professional experience across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe, LATAM, and Africa, Dr. Guna brings deep expertise in workforce transformation, organization design, and employee experience advisory.
His appointment strengthens WTW’s Employee Experience leadership, enhancing the firm’s ability to support clients in developing sustainable, data-driven strategies that build organizational capability, improve engagement, and drive long-term performance. In his new role, Dr. Guna will partner with organizations to translate employee engagement and experience insights into focused actions that strengthen culture, leadership effectiveness, and business outcomes.
Before joining WTW, Dr. Guna R. was associated with Sunway University, where he led capability building initiatives focused on future talent employability and entrepreneurship. As a lead lecturer across MBA and undergraduate programs, he contributed to developing industry-aligned learning frameworks and employability initiatives.
He also worked with Cargill on an organization and people enablement transformation program, contributing to the design and implementation of global HR operating models and shared services structures across multiple regions. Earlier, he spent over a decade at Etisalat as Director, Organization Design & Digital HR, where he led large-scale digital transformation initiatives, employee engagement programs across multiple countries, and the implementation of advanced HR technologies.
His prior leadership roles include serving as Manager, HR Advisory – Business Performance Services at KPMG Malaysia and as Advisor, Human Resources at Ebrahim Khalil Kanoo in Bahrain. Earlier in his career, he worked as an independent consultant on multiple organizational development projects across Southeast Asia and the Middle East.
