Singapore, October 2024 — Samir Singh, previously Chair, Unilever Asia and Head of Unilever Singapore Hub, will be joining Colgate-Palmolive as EVP Marketing for the Asia-Pacific division, effective December 1, 2024. Singh’s appointment signals Colgate-Palmolive’s commitment to reinforcing its marketing leadership in the region, drawing on Singh’s extensive experience in global brand strategy and innovation.
Samir Singh has had a 16-year tenure at Unilever, where he held several senior marketing roles. Most recently, as Chair of Unilever Asia and Head of Unilever Singapore Hub, Singh oversaw Unilever’s growth across Asia, driving strategic initiatives and market expansion. Before this role, he served as Chief Marketing Officer, Personal Care, managing the marketing, strategy, and innovation of brands such as Dove, Lifebuoy, Axe, and Rexona.
Earlier, Singh was EVP, Global Skin Cleansing and Oral Care, managing an $8-10 billion category globally. As Global EVP, Skin Cleansing, he led iconic brands like Lux, Lifebuoy, and Dove, emphasizing sustainability and waste reduction. Singh also held the position of Executive Director, Personal Care at Hindustan Unilever, where he drove the growth of personal care segments, including Skin Care, Hair Care, and Oral Care.
Singh’s marketing expertise spans roles such as Global Brand Vice-President for Lifebuoy, where he led impactful campaigns and innovations that drove significant global growth. His career journey includes roles like Global Brand Director for Vaseline and Global Marketing Director for Skin Care, where he spearheaded brand development and purpose-driven communication strategies.
