Milton Keynes, England, United Kingdom, October 2024 – Catherine Wills has been appointed as the Chief People Officer at Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. In this role, she will be responsible for leading the hospital’s people strategy, fostering a supportive and inclusive work culture, and driving strategic HR initiatives to ensure the effective management and development of the workforce.
Catherine Wills joins Milton Keynes University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust with a wealth of experience in the NHS. She most recently served as Director of People at Kettering General Hospital (UHoN Group), where she led strategic HR management and implemented initiatives to enhance workforce planning and organizational development over 2 years and 3 months.

Before that, Catherine was the Group Deputy Director of People at University Hospitals of Northamptonshire (UHoN Group) for 9 months. In this role, she contributed to developing workforce strategies that aligned with the broader system objectives and supported HR transformation efforts across the hospitals.
Her journey in the NHS also includes her position as Assistant Director at NHS Employers, where she served for 1 year and 4 months. In this role, Catherine developed national inclusive recruitment guidelines and supported NHS organizations in translating national workforce policies into practice.
Earlier in her career, she was the Assistant Director of Workforce at Northamptonshire CCG for 2 years and 4 months, leading the development of system-wide workforce plans and coordinating responses to pandemic-related challenges, ensuring effective workforce redeployment and employee well-being measures.
