Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, July 2026 — Ashok Leyland has appointed Samuel Iyadurai as Plant Head – Human Resources, strengthening its people leadership at a key manufacturing facility. In his new role, he will lead the plant’s Human Resources and Industrial Relations (HR & IR) functions, focusing on workforce engagement, employee relations, talent development, statutory compliance, and fostering a high-performance manufacturing culture that supports the company’s operational excellence.
Samuel brings valuable experience in manufacturing HR and industrial relations, with a strong background in managing people strategies within large-scale industrial environments. His expertise spans employee engagement, workforce planning, industrial relations, organizational effectiveness, and building collaborative workplaces that align business objectives with employee development.
Prior to joining Ashok Leyland, Samuel served as Head of Human Resources at MRF, where he led the HR function for the company’s Puducherry operations. During his tenure, he was responsible for driving key HR initiatives, strengthening employee engagement, supporting business operations, and managing people practices within a manufacturing ecosystem.
In his new assignment at Ashok Leyland, Samuel will oversee plant HR and industrial relations while partnering closely with business leaders to enhance workforce capability, strengthen employee relations, and support the organization’s continued focus on operational excellence, productivity, and sustainable growth.
