Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2024 – Sandeep Tanwani has been named the Chief Marketing Officer at Pidilite Industries Limited, effective September 2024. Reporting to Managing Director Bharat Puri, Sandeep brings with him an impressive track record of over 26 years in sales, marketing, and business transformation. He will lead Pidilite’s marketing strategies to further strengthen the company’s leadership in the consumer and specialty chemicals sector.
Sandeep Tanwani joins Pidilite from Unilever, where he had a remarkable tenure of over two decades. Most recently, he served as Vice President, Unilever Professional & Homecare Transformation, South Asia, leading the creation of a business model for B2B solutions. Previously, as Global Vice President Radiant and Vice President, South Asia, he was instrumental in shaping innovation strategies and category leadership for a multi-brand portfolio in the fabric solutions space.
During his earlier years at Unilever, Sandeep held pivotal roles such as Global Brand Leader for Radiant and Category Lead for Fabric Solutions, South Asia, where he oversaw brand positioning, innovation pipelines, and market development across emerging economies. Notable achievements include driving double-digit growth, introducing new market strategies, and spearheading globally harmonized campaigns.
Before joining Unilever, Sandeep worked at Reliance Industries Limited as an Assistant Manager – Automation, where he contributed to two large-scale greenfield petrochemical projects, delivering them ahead of global benchmarks.
